This Privacy Policy explains what information Through the Table Trivia ("we", "us", "the app") collects when you use the service, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: your email address, display name, and password (stored securely by our authentication provider — we never see or store your raw password).

Gameplay data: your quiz attempts and scores, XP, level, streaks, badges/achievements, and Submidle puzzle history. This data powers your stats, progression, and leaderboard-style features within the app.

Payment information: if you purchase Premium, payment is processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number, expiration date, or CVV — Stripe handles that directly and shares with us only what's needed to activate your subscription (such as payment status and a customer reference ID).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to operate the app: creating and securing your account, tracking your progress, processing Premium purchases, and improving the game over time. We do not use your gameplay data for anything beyond running and improving Through the Table Trivia.

3. Cookies & Advertising

Free-tier use of the app displays ads served through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other sites, and to measure ad performance. You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google's Ads Settings, or by visiting www.aboutads.info. Premium subscribers do not see ads and are not subject to ad-related tracking.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We share information only with the service providers necessary to run the app: our hosting/database/authentication provider (Supabase), our payment processor (Stripe), and Google (for ad serving to free-tier users). Each of these providers is bound by its own privacy and security practices.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your account and gameplay data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below; we'll process deletion requests within a reasonable timeframe.

6. Children's Privacy

Through the Table Trivia is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
